Amy prioritises fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all.

Amy Wells has been the Headteacher at Ravenscote Junior School since 2019. Amy embarked on her journey in education by studying Primary Education at Canterbury Christ Church University. Her dedication to Ravenscote Junior School dates back to the start of her teaching career in 2010. Over the years, Amy has taken on various roles within the school, including as a Class Teacher, Year Leader and Assistant Headteacher, demonstrating her commitment to the school’s growth and success.

Amy’s expertise in Mathematics led her to become a Specialist Leader in Education, supporting leaders in other schools to enhance their teaching practices. Amy enjoys developing others and has trained as an Advanced Coach.

Outside of her professional responsibilities, Amy remains rooted in the local community, where she resides with her husband and two children. Amy finds joy in maintaining a healthy lifestyle through outdoor fitness activities, yoga and mindfulness practices. Her holistic approach to life is reflected in her leadership style, fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment at Ravenscote Junior School.
