School Improvement Strategy
EEEA fosters collaboration to support academies, ensuring pupils reach their full potential, with our academy improvement strategy at the core.
Our strategy aims to:

- develop exceptional leadership
- inspire community-centred curricula, and
- enhance opportunities for vulnerable children.
Key Strategies include:
- Providing high-quality performance data to focus improvement efforts and learn from trends.
- Implementing standardised reporting for cross-academy collaboration.
- Offering advice, support, and challenge to improve leadership, teaching, and pupil progress.
- Utilising Peer Review for candid discussions and leader development.
- Enhancing teaching quality and innovation to ensure rapid improvement. Implementing standardised assessment systems for consistency.
- Talent management for staff development and improved outcomes. Investing in staff development, including leadership programs.
- Cultivating partnerships with teaching alliances and effective academies.
- Utilising Governor Hub to support effective governance and decision-making.
- Implementing effective risk management for clear decision-making.
EEEA Academy Categorisation
EEEA categorises academies based on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as this influences their contribution to the Trust.
There are three categories reviewed termly:
Category 1 Academies
This category comprises academies graded as "good" or better by Ofsted with no concerns regarding their key outcome data. Leadership is robust and contributes to Trust capacity.
Category 2 Academies
This category pertains to academies graded below "good" or identified as coasting. The distinction between category 2 and 3 academies concerns leadership capacity. A category 1 academy may move to category 2 due to identified concerns by the Executive team. Category 2 academies undergo half-termly reviews with the Trust Executive team.
Category 3 Academies
This category encompasses inadequate academies or those with significant key outcome issues necessitating intensive support. Category 3 academies are considered at-risk, with the executive team directly managing and leading key areas upon categorisation. A rapid improvement plan is mandatory, with monthly meetings to monitor progress.
